More weightless

It’s been crazy busy but we have a show up! It’s looking beautiful. So far we’ve had good houses and good responses. (Here’s a preview article and a review, both from the Providence Journal; and another preview article in the Providence Phoenix)

The designer, Sara Ossana (who took the photos above) has made a steel-grey world for this altered-universe play, in which a family is trapped at the top of a very tall building. The set is entirely shrink-wrapped in plastic. Lamps glow eerily through it like; the chairs are wrapped into the walls. It looks larval or fetal or like a surgery that’s bumping and forming its way into life. It is so perfect for the world of this play, in which a cosmetic surgeon is constantly altering her live-in maid in what she calls “live modeling” and nobody can go Outside.
